Do you want to volunteer but are worried about the cost? Had a look at our amazing overseas volunteer placements but horrified by the expense? Want to take a cheap gap year placement?

Google gap years and you enter the world of volunteering… options available to head off all over the world and work on amazing, life-changing projects. But these experiences dont come cheap and even working for a basic charity volunteers are still expected to cough up for their flights, accommodation, food and transport- not to mention making a donation towards the ccharity. For the first time gapper it’s a bit of a shocker!

If 6 weeks volunteering with The Leap for £1800 = : 0 then read on!

Gap year companies offering cheaper gap year projects do exist but do you really want to waste your once in a lifetime opportunity to do something AMAZING overseas on a half-baked, badly planned, cheap project that doesn’t do what it says on the tin?

The sad fact is that most gap year companies which advertise very cheap costs make very little investment in their projects or students and your experience as a volunteer ultimately worse off for it. Generally, if you rtake a cheap gap year you will be one of thousand of volunteers that company is sending away, treated like a number rather than an individual and forgotten about when you’re overseas…and when something goes wrong (which invariably it does) there’s little or no help from them.

…but not with The Leap!
