Travel destinations for children
filed in Announcements, Ecuador, Mozambique, South Africa on Mar.30, 2009
Family travel doesn’t have to mean dragging the kids to boring Benidorm or another week’s crabbing in Cornwall, there are now a range of holidays offered by the Leap which combine eye opening volunteer projects with some of the worlds most exotic and exciting destinations.
Our ‘Mini Leaps’ open up a whole new world of possibility for families, from 2 week holidays in a luxury Mozambiqan eco-lodge on the sandy shores of Lake Malawi, helping to paint classrooms and plant vegetables to 2-3 weeks living alongside indigenous tribes in the Amazon Rainforest building homes and caring for rescued monkeys. Travel destinations for children dont have to be boring!

Volunteering for Children:
We’re not asking you come and change the world, far from it. Our intention is much simpler; we want your family to contribute in the simplest form possible by bringing fresh enthusiasm, energy and an extra pair of hands to sustainable development projects. Our visiting children make an impact by working “side by side” with the communities, teaching Basic English, reading stories, or simply playing sport. It is the giving of friendship that really matters and has the greatest of impact. Taking pens, paint or crayons out with you is always successful and it makes for a very rewarding art lesson!

Hi There,
Glad to hear you enjoyed the blog. Would you be interested in doing something like The Leap with your own family?
