The Jan Team and Kasigau's weavers take a break from building...

The team have been working all-out in Kasigau this week constructing a new centre for the Basket Weavers to work from and sell their products. As you can see from the photos it’s already looking pretty impressive, and work will continue with the Leap Team coming to Kenya in April. It’s a pretty ambitious building project be we hope to have it finished by the end of ’10…so September team Leapers, you better  brush up your bricklaying skills!

This centre is vital to the development and support of income generating schemes in the area and in time will help the community to become self sufficient and less reliant on outside aid. A fantastic sustainable development project!
