Us with Tswali the orphaned elephant

Hello all from on the first leg of our round the world tour, we are all fine and are having a super time at Kwa Madwala, the private game reserve where our 2 week Mini Leap is based. They make us feel like we were one big family!

We haven’t yet seen the big five but did see ‘the little 5′ ‘the ugliest 5′ ‘the deadliest 5′ etc etc. The children have gotten into the African way of life very quickly, casting all shoes to one side. Our game ranger and constant companion, Luke, is delightful with a plethora of information at hand and hosts couldn’t have been more helpful.

We have a few funny stories to add to our blog. The children got a real in depth understanding of Africa, from meeting the children at the community project involving orphaned children with Aids. How do you explain ‘sexual disease’ to a ten year old?? Kamhlushwa School welcomed us and we made the local press with the donation to the school. But the children were on School holidays already having finished their curriculum early! An incentive for our little ones??

Glad we made ‘theleap’

We’ll blog again from South America…Ciao for now!
