So it is the weekend in Tanzania once again and we have finished our first placement at Camp Joshua where we had to dig the foundations for a wall. The ground was so hard, doing this in the hot African sun was tough work, most likely the hardest thing I have had to do but it was definately rewarding knowing that you are doing something good for local people and leaving something you have built behind.

Last week we were refilling the holes we had dug with red soil and stone then cement. It was a little sad to refill the hole that took us a week to dig but we managed to start the construction of the wall and hope that the next leapers can continue with the project that we started.

On Wednesday me and the other 3 guys went out for dinner as we need a change from pasta or rice! I think I may turn into it lol! So we went to the Massai Cafe where we had the most amazing pizza, it was sooo good, after that we went to Via Via for a couple of drinks to hang out. On Thursday we again went to Via Via for a drink and to dance the night away, I def think this is my new favorite hang out for sure!

Via Via- my new favourite hangout!

On Friday it was raining all morning and feeling a little rough after going out Thursday we had a slightly later start and we got to play football with the kids at the school which was so much fun, though made us all more tired. I have managed to get a tan tho not as good at Jacob he seems to tan so quickly…not fair… but I am winning on the cuts and bruises stakes- as I’m the accident prone one lol…

Well, gotta go as internet time is running out but we are spending the day in town with some market shopping… lunch and chocolate cake at an awesome cafe we found and then laze by the pool for the day
