During their stay at Camp Tinangol, the team have been really busy, completing the first phase on Tinangol Kindergarten Project with guidance from our project foreman, Man and our Camp Manager Zul as follows:

2) Levelled land area at the kindie site

3) Measuring kindie building area

4) Dug holes to build the foundation

5) Built and completed a tool and building material shed on the site...etc

We reckon they have done brilliantly despite the weather! One day when all this is completed, up and running, they will look back and be proud of what they have started. On to the next volunteers to continue on with the great work.

This week has gone by so quickly with their work on site, English teaching at school, learning the ways of live, culture and tradition of the Rungus indigeneous people and what with all integration with the community in sports and merrymaking. To reward them for all the hardwork, they got their wish to have another day on the beach today before heading off to to Sepilok for their Sunbear time. We will leave Camp Tinangol at 7am tomorrow morning. Zul will be leading the team accompanied by 2 other members of our Camp Borneo staff the whole period at Sunbears.(23rd to 30th Jan).

Hope all is well. Enjoy your weekend!

Cheers
Mel
