Hello from sun drenched Borneo!

Borneo
All is well here despite the long weekend we had following the tsunami alert! Thankfully it never materialized so no damage has been done. The Leapers have come to their 8th week in Borneo and what a place to be stuck in a tropical island paradise like Mantanani Island! All in good health, they were looking a bit more bronzed than when I saw them last arriving in KK town today after 4 weeks being in the island.  They say they all had an amazing time.

Here’s a quick sum up of programmes and activities done:

Built a raft out of driftwood (not in the program, but we would give them extra credits for the effort and initiatives making the most of their trip…and pretending they were contestants in Shipwrecked!) – check

They are all currently staying at Step-In Lodge in the capital and will be in town for the next couple of days. They will all do their last deep sea diving around the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park apart from day off before going to their next program at Kipouvo Homestay on 5th-8th March and Utan Paradise for their trek on 8th – 13th March. A dinner party is being organised for them tomorrow night together with other volunteers in country to thank them  for all their hardwork.

Cheers,
Mel
