!Grand Opening!

Oh it’s a proud day in Kenya today, and also here at Leap towers as well, as we all received a very special letter!

Rafiki (meaning friend in the beautiful Swahili language) Kenia Health Centre is ready for its Grand Opening….and our very own Leap leader Dipesh out in Kenya has of course been invited….along with our team of beautiful leapers who helped to make it all happen!

“The Rafiki Kenia Foundation is very happy to announce that the building of the Rafiki Kenia Health Centre has been finished. The Rafiki Kenia Foundation and the Stichting Rafiki Kenia have the pleasure and the honour to invite you to be present at the formal opening of the Rafiki Kenia Health Centre in Makongeni Village which will take place on the 6th of march 2010. The Rafiki Kenia Health Centre is located in Makongeni Village which is in the Msambweni District. The opening ceremony will start at around 12.00 O’ clock. We hope that you will be able to be present at this opening celebration in one of the small villages in the coastal area of Kenia.”

All of our leapers have been working very hard out in sunny Kenya to complete, building and painting work on this new healthcare centre, to get it up and running and all of the sweat and tears has finally paid off (only joking there weren’t any tears, I just thought it sounded more dramatic)!

Anyhoo, this new health centre means that more local Kenyans will have access to good healthcare, which is easily accessable and were really proud of all of our leapers for helping to make this possible.
