Quito's breathtaking Skyline!

My flight went safe and sound and I got inat about 11pm. After a rousing wait in coustoms we boarded a little mini-bus and headed off to the hostel. We spent the night,and slept like babies (especially those of us from the UK who had been up for 24 hours).

We got up this morning and had the chance to walk around the neighborhood a little bit. Then we met out team leader and had a two hour meeting going over the specifics of what we´ll be doing.

I´ll be in Quito for the next two days seeing the sights and getting acclimatized to the world´s second highest capital (14,000ft!). Thankfully I´m not feeling the altitude yet. We´re right about to head to dinner and out for a night on the town (apparently karaoke is a popular choice…).

I´ve met all of my fellow travellrs by now and I can´t believe I´m lucky enough to have so many awesome Leapers here with me. I met up with four of them in the Houston airport (three from England and one from Canada) and we were all in the same row on the plane, small world.
