Planting with Alfonzo

Hola!

Everything is going great so far. On Thursday we harvested dried pea plants and cleared some branches off of the side of the road, and we had the afternoon off so we walked to town.  On Friday morning we planted beans and corn and in the afternoon we participated in a parade in Cotacachi.  We weren´t expecting to be a part of the parade, but it was pretty fun anyway.  This morning a news crew from the Ecuavisa channel was at the house and they interviewed a few of us!
Right now the group is in Otavalo, a market town close to the community.  I checked them into the hostal Los Andes so they should be all set and they have my cell number if they need me!  Tomorrow I´m going to bring them to the waterfall of Peguche. Everyone is healthy and happy and the only real complaint was that we spent a lot of time waiting around (welcome to Ecuador!), but hopefully things will pick up next week.  So far so good!
