A Gap Year or Gap Summer, as you probably already know is a fantastic opportunity to take time out and learn new skills, explore exciting places, take yourself out of your comfort zone and do some once in a lifetime things you will never forget. It’s a also the perfect way to get out of studying and working for a few months to a whole year…not to mention getting a wicked tan and some exotic stories under your belt!

There are so many options in terms of what you can do on a Gap Year, but organizations such as ourselves (The Leap) are always on the look our for volunteers just like you to take part in amazing, life changing projects overseas. If you have bags of energy, a sense of humour and fancy getting down and dirty (or not, depending on your hygiene levels!) in Africa, Asia or Latin America,  working on a mix of life changing projects, you are exactly what we are looking for in our Gap Year volunteers!

Our Gap Year volunteers have helped to build numerous schools and seedling gardens around the globe, planted thousands of trees in contribution to reforestation projects, sponsored countless children…and this list could actually go on forever! Basically they are doing some real good out there and were really proud and grateful to all of our Gap Year volunteers for that.
