Kwa Madwala is a magical place located right next to the Kruger National park in sunny South Africa! Yes that’s right i said the Kruger National park, your ears did not deceive you, we at The Leap have been sending volunteers to Kwa Madwala for the past 5 years!!

Yep our teams of lovely leapers have helped to build a local HIV orphanage managed by the reserve, dig many a seedling garden to improve the diets of local people, helped with on-going running of the lodge and generally make a huge difference to the communities in which they visit and the environment which they were lucky enough to be spending 6-10 weeks in (here at the leap were not jealous at all…nope not at all!)…Yeah right.

We at Leap Towers are very proud to announce that we have two brand spanking new project leaders out at Kwa who were confident are going to kick ass when it comes to further inspiring our leapers to make a true difference out there! They are Luke and Jane and here’s what they have to say for themselves……

National Diploma in Game Ranch Management, which is basically nature conservation with management. I’ve already been working at Kwa Madwala for a little over two years, in which I’ve been student co-ordinator, ranger and field warden and now student leader. I’ve enjoyed working with Gap year students the most!”

And on Jane (who oversees the whole project)…..”She is also a wildlife fanatic and has been in the bush industry for yonks! She’s been at Kwa for about 6 months now so she’s a bit of a newbe but I can assure you she knows what she’s doing!”
