Price Compare
It’s all in the SMALL PRINT…
Google gap years and you enter into the world of volunteering... 100's of different options in far-flung places, all to make an impact and at varying prices…
Now let's be honest, we all search for a bargain and we all love a deal so the cheaper option is always in the back of the mind. But please when it comes to making your choice read and compare the small print – what’s really included and what are you really going to be doing on a day to day basis and with how much support?
So forgive our soapbox approach...
Here goes…
ALL OUR TEAM PLACEMENT COSTS INCLUDE:
Full board/food and accommodation, including water etc, throughout including weekends
Donation to project of your choice in country
Selection and Briefing Course on all aspects of the scheme
Management and support by UK team and in-country Placement Manager
24 hour emergency back-up both in-country and the UK
Safety and induction briefing on arrival
Airport pick up and transfer to and from the placement locations
All park fees (if appropriate)
Not included:
International and internal (if applicable) flights
Visas (if applicable)
Travel insurance
Soft drinks/beer etc.
Any independent/weekend travel expenses
Another way to look at it is: PRICE PER DAY
(Based on our 10 week, 70 day placements)
Kenya - £2580 - £36 per day
South Africa - £2930 - £41 per day
Tanzania - £2682 - £38 per day
Ecuador - £2468 - £35 per day
Cambodia - £2744 - £39 per day
Venezuela - £2570 - £36 per day
Costa Rica - £2679 - £38 per day
Borneo - £2930 - £41 per day
Trust us or talk to past leapers, by the time you’ve found somewhere to stay (half decent), bought food, snacks, drinks and paid for some daytime adventure, your daily budget will be somewhere close. Apart from if you’ve hit the beaches and you’ve changed your name to Leonardo DeCaprio.
SO OUR MESSAGE TO YOU
Think quality
Think reward
Think – once in a lifetime, make it the best experience you possibly can…
Don’t be fooled by the cheap seats!
Milly (thank you for my soap box moment!)
Hold on...one other thing to note: 10 weeks vs 6 weeks
If time and budget permits we would advise you to choose the 10 week option.
Why? You obviously get longer to enjoy yourself and make an impact. If you look at the itineraries the extras weeks often include the adrenaline pumping adventure bit... eg in Venezuela- trek Ben Fogle style through the jungle up the Tepuis, in Borneo - scuba dive and jungle trek like Bear Grylls...
We are also really flexible - if you choose the 6 week option you can change your mind and increase to 10 weeks at any time including once you have started your placement overseas.
