We have been organising gap years since 1995 and founded the leap in 2002. In that time we have successfully sent over a 1000 volunteers on rewarding adventures overseas.

Your health, safety and welfare are our main priorities.

• We provide 24-hour emergency backup and support through a combination of expert in-country directors, placement managers and the UK team.
• We have a comprehensive crisis management plan, implemented by professional medics, counsellors and advisors ensuring emergencies are swiftly resolved.
• We employ professional, caring placement managers and staff to manage your placement.
• Secure accommodation, road worthy vehicles, medical evacuation access and emergency communications are available in each placement.
• We recommend excellent Travel Insurance to ensure each volunteer has comprehensive travel/medical insurance, including air repatriation, via the local Flying Doctor/Emergency Rescue Service.
• Each placement is fully researched and risk assessed in accordance with British Standards (BS8848).
• We provide you with comprehensive Placement Guidelines covering project tasks, food and accommodation, communication, project managers, costs and dates etc.
• An exclusive My Leap area on our site, available to Leapers who have booked, covering all aspects of your scheme: safety, medical, flights, insurance, health, emergency contact information, visas, travel advice, equipment and clothing list and more.
• We pride ourselves on our 'personal touch', we have excellent communication with our Project Leaders and as a minimum we contact our volunteers and update their parents, if applicable, on arrival in-country and thereafter 1, 3 and 8 weeks into their placement. We also ask the Project Leaders for feedback at each stage. Any feedback we get is reviewed, shared, monitored and acted upon if necessary.
  
  We also do our best, where possible, to see our Teams off at the airport in UK, to help with any last minute concerns and calm nerves!

The most important thing to remember is that we are available 24/7 while you are away and if you remember nothing else, remember that we care and we're all here to make sure your placement is a big success.
