South America Gap Year Programmes
Where to volunteer in South America, on your gap year, is going to be a tough one as each country has its own highlights, uniqueness and culture.
From the lost city of Macchu Piccu in Peru, to Angel Falls in Venezuela, to the mighty Amazon …South America could have you traveling for a life time.
So, conquer your travel bug and desire to make a difference by choosing a Leap placement where you'll get stuck into a selection of conservation + community + ecotourism projects which are all located in different places: challenging both your mind + your muscles whilst traveling the length and breadth of your chosen destination - perfect!
Travel as part of a Leap Team
Volunteering for us is all about all about teamwork - we find that our Leapers have more fun and are more effective when they travel as a group. They rally each other along and tackle the projects head on to complete in the time available.
We have 4 different teams departing to each country each year: Jan, Apr, July + Sept. We put the teams together and hook you all up via Facebook before hand. All you have to do is book your place!
Average team size is 12, mix girls + boys, from all walks of life, ages 18 - 25.
