Argentina: Polo
The secret is out, Argentina is more than polo: expect gorgeous landscapes, cosmopolitan cities and lively culture, a gap year traveler’s paradise. Stretching almost 3500km from Bolivia to the tip of South America, Argentina encompasses a wide array of geography and climates: from the Patagonian steppe, to the lush Lake District – with its glorious lakes and white-tipped mountains to the Andean deserts.
Our polo placement is perfectly placed on a private estancia close to Buenos Aires where you can learn Spanish, watch f'tbol (soccer) and tango all night long - brilliant!
But in contrast it will take you into the traditional heart of the Pampas to drink 'mate' with gauchos' and immerse yourself in rural horse culture. You'll spend your days learning or perfecting your polo and helping the gauchos with the horse breeding programmes.
Travel as a Team
We send 2 separate teams of leapers out to Argentina each year one in February and one in August for 6 or 10 weeks. We find that our Leapers have more fun when they travel as a group as they rally each other along and tackle the challenges and saddle sores together. We put the teams together and hook you all up through facebook before hand. All you have to do is book your place.
Average team size is 10, mix of girls and boys, from all walks of life, ages 18-25.

You'll live on a family run Estancia 60 minutes from Buenos Aires with all the facilities required for keeping 30-40 polo ponies in breeding and training, close to Pilar, the best place to learn polo in the world.

10 or 6 weeks learning or improving your polo skills on a beautiful Argentinean estancia specialising in polo and horse breeding.
Daily chukkas and coaching from proffessionals and gauchos.
Time off help teach the gaucho kids in local school.
Learn and assist with horse breeding programme.
Time out: Ride across the pampas, live it up in Buenos Aires, learn to dance the tango, enjoy the enetrtainment facilities in Pilar and watch the world's best players in action.
