Your Insurance

It is absolutely vital that you have sufficient travel insurance for your entire time abroad, including independent travel after your placement with The Leap.

We recommend the travel insurance policy provided by Global Travel Insurance. For whom The Leap acts as an Introducer Appointed Representative. If you wish to purchase their policy please go to www.globaltravelinsurance.co.uk/quote/TheLeap and complete the policy application. If you have any questions regarding this, please call Global Travel Insurance (GTI) on 01903 203933 and say you are travelling with The Leap.

N.B. For volunteers going to Venezuela, please be aware that your placement is geographically classified as South America, not the Caribbean. When selecting a policy with GTI you should select for the (cheaper) location option "Worldwide excluding North America, Argentina & the Caribbean". If you decide to visit the Caribbean independently it is essential that you upgrade your insurance cover. Extensions and upgrades to your travel insurance policy can be made whilst overseas, please contact your insurer directly about this.

Please provide us with details of your travel insurance before you travel, by completing and returning this form as soon as you can. Please note we cannot send you overseas on a placement without proof of this insurance cover.
