We are really sorry to tell you BUT we have put our Tanzania gap year programme on hold at the moment. The good news is that we have two alternative destinations in Africa, which are exceptional and really deliver in terms of giving you an intrepid, off grid, volunteering experience....so drum roll please for Namibia and Kenya
Namibia is fantastic for the ultimate bush experience - where you are helping create a national park for the endangered rhino and Kenya offers the best tropical beaches, whale sharks and community development. They can also be combined to give you the best beach and bush combination. Just saying.
This a hidden gem and we know not on everyone's immediate bucket list BUT it should be...We have supported this huge conservation initiative for 4 years now and we have made great progress in creating a new reserve which will ultimately be a home to the endangered rhino.
But of course its not all work and no play - lots of adventure included to keep everyone of their toes.
For environmental conservation - there is nothing better In Africa.
Here we are based on the Indian Ocean coast where we are helping a local NGO preserve the delicate marine eco-systems whilst engaging in community development t help the fisherman find alternative sources of income.
Our program involves marine conservation, community development, a safari and optional scuba courses.
