2. Do I have to pay to volunteer abroad?
The simple answer is YES - volunteering companies charge fees to cover essential costs such as accommodation, meals, training, and in-country support. These fees also fund project materials and local staff salaries, ensuring the sustainability and effectiveness of the volunteer programmes, and providing a safe and well-organized experience for participants. In many cases theses life changing projects would not survive without your funds and manpower.
3. Ideas to raise funds to volunteer abroad?
This will come as no shock to you reading this - the best way is to get a job and work as many hours as you possibly can. Aim for £400 per week and you will soon reach your traveling target. Have a read of this blog to get some ideas: https://www.theleap.co.uk/gap-year-advice/how-to-f...
