Whether starting a gap year or joining an U18 adventure, every Leap is designed to help young people grow in confidence, gain real-world experience and return with stories, skills and evidence that set them apart.
This is your launchpad.
If you want a gap year that adds real value, unforgettable experiences and friendships for life, The Leap is the perfect place to begin.
Our 4-week programmes combine adventure, contribution and real-world experience, helping young people build confidence, independence and meaningful evidence for CVs, university applications and future careers.
Think leadership, teamwork, resilience and global awareness - developed through exciting shared experiences, cultural immersion and hands-on conservation and community projects.
Along the way come sunsets, safaris, road trips, team adventures and the kind of experiences that make gap years so special.
Plus, your adventure can earn UCAS points through an accredited International Volunteering Diploma or help complete your Gold Duke of Edinburgh Residential.
Some lessons can’t be taught in a classroom.
The Leap’s adventures for schools and under-18s are designed to stretch young minds through hands-on, real-world experiences that build confidence, resilience, teamwork and independence.
From coral reef restoration and community projects to safaris, cultural immersion and shared team adventures, students grow through exciting experiences far beyond the classroom.
Along the way, they gain a stronger sense of self, a wider understanding of the world and tangible evidence of transferable skills for future applications and careers.
Students also have the opportunity to earn UCAS points through an accredited International Volunteering Diploma or complete their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Residential.
Every Leap is built around these three powerful pillars, for a reason. Together, they create an experience that’s dynamic, meaningful, and transformative. No two days are the same, and no one returns the same.

Challenge is where growth begins. It pushes you beyond your comfort zone, tests your limits, and reveals strengths you didn’t know you had. With every step into the unknown, you’ll build grit, confidence, and the kind of resilience that lasts a lifetime.

You won’t just pass through, you’ll dive in. By living and working alongside local communities, you’ll experience diverse traditions firsthand, build empathy, and gain a deeper, more human understanding of the world around you.

This is adventure with purpose. Through hands-on projects that support communities and protect the environment, you’ll leave a meaningful legacy, and take home a deeper sense of purpose.

At The Leap, we believe that who you travel with matters just as much as where you go. That’s why we create teams made up of like-minded individuals at a similar life stage, so from day one, there’s natural camaraderie, shared energy, and a sense of belonging.
Unlike other organisations that group teenagers with retirees, we focus on alignment of age, mindset, and purpose. Together, our teams face challenges, celebrate wins, and form bonds that last well beyond the adventure.

These aren’t just guides, they’re changemakers. From conservationists and educators to grassroots community leaders, our partners are deeply rooted in their local environments. They welcome you off the beaten path, offer rare insight, and connect you to projects that drive real impact.
With their leadership, each Leap becomes more than an adventure, it becomes a meaningful exchange, built on respect, purpose, and shared goals.
Over the past two decades, we’ve proudly built this global network, and we’re honoured to call them partners, collaborators, and friends.
When you travel with The Leap, you’re never on your own. From the moment you book, we’re here to guide, support, and cheer you on. With over two decades of experience and a tight-knit global team, we’re all about making sure your journey is smooth, safe, and unforgettable.
We’re proud members of the Year Out Group and Gap Year Association, which means we meet the highest standards for safety, sustainability, and student support. You're in expert hands.
We don’t do faceless bookings or automated replies. You'll get personalised advice, pre-departure guidance, and 24/7 support while you're away, whether you’re a first-time traveller or a returning Leaper. We’re always just a message or flight) away.
