Leap to Sri Lanka

women's empowerment + yoga + hiking

Join this 8-day adventure designed for those who want to travel with purpose, connect with a like-minded tribe, and contribute to something bigger than themselves. Set in the vibrant south of Sri Lanka, this Leap blends beach, jungle, and tea-plantation calm with hands-on impact, cultural immersion, and soul-stirring moments designed to reignite your spark.

Your base is Tekanda Lodge, a serene hilltop retreat nestled on a working tea plantation and recently celebrated by Condé Nast. It’s a place where the pace softens, the air is fragrant, and your shoulders finally drop. Yoga, surf lessons, and wild swims become tools for renewal — anchoring you in nature and gently shaking off the static of daily life.

But what makes this experience truly meaningful is the opportunity to contribute. You'll spend time with Gamata Athak, a grassroots women’s empowerment charity, supporting local women as they build confidence, learn conversational English, and develop practical skills to thrive in a changing world. Whether you’re teaching, mentoring, or simply connecting, your presence creates a ripple effect—with impact on both sides.

The journey ends in the highlands, where a sunrise hike up Ella’s Peak delivers sweeping views and a quiet sense of accomplishment. It’s the kind of moment that stays with you—a reminder of your strength, your purpose, and the power of doing something just for you. This isn’t about escape. It’s about expansion.
And it just might change your life.

Our reviews speak for themselves

“Never been away solo before so was very apprehensive but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The first thing i would like to comment is Milly she did a great job of caring for us and putting this  amazing adventure together, we were never bored!

Loved the volunteering part of this trip, very humbling and Tekanda Lodge was just beautiful a real paradise, delicious food, the staff couldn't have looked after us better. All in all a truly memorable experience shared with a lovely bunch of ladies.”

“I think both Tekanda and Alba made us feel special. So well treated and particularly by the Pembrokes. I loved the volunteering . I treasure my shirt. Again we were made to feel so welcome. Great to feel useful.

I also loved the trip to the national  park. All in all,  I loved our trip. You managed to make it bespoke but not pretentious. We were spoiled but not spoilt so too speak!”

“Five Stars to Milly and her team for organising a wholly wholesome and wonderfully colourful time on the paradise island of Sri Lanka for our mid-life trip.

The well-managed blend of work and play suited me very well. It turns out I can do more and be more than I had realised”
