under 18s Programme

Leap to Under 18s Kenya

MARINE CONSERVATION + COMMUNITY IMPACT + SAFARI + ADVENTURE

Join an unforgettable 10-day adventure on Kenya's stunning Indian Ocean coast, where coral reefs, community projects and incredible wildlife encounters come together in one life-changing experience.

Based in Vipingo, north of Mombasa, you'll join a team of like-minded students from across the UK and work alongside Oceans Alive, one of East Africa's leading marine conservation organisations.

One day you might be helping restore coral reefs, the next building clean cookstoves, supporting local community initiatives, sailing a traditional dhow or spotting elephants on safari in Tsavo National Park.

Along the way you'll immerse yourself in Swahili culture, make lifelong friendships and discover what you're capable of achieving when you step beyond your comfort zone.

Students also have the option to complete the Diploma in International Volunteering, worth 16 UCAS points, providing recognised evidence of the skills and experiences gained during the adventure.

This isn't just a trip abroad. It's an amazing adventure that just happens to be good for your future.

Our reviews speak for themselves

“From initial enquiry till the boys finished their trip The Leap have been excellent. The short videos explaining how to fill out forms prior to departure were so useful as were the Zoom calls to answer any questions. Torin has loved the trip itself, doing so many things during the programme and making friends for life. I would definitely recommend The Leap”

“Our daughter has had the most amazing time in Kenya, The Leap group have been fantastic with details and organisation throughout, I always felt we were in good hands. The breadth of volunteering and involvement has been wonderful to see and I know this will have changed her life forever. Thank you”
tanya
“Definitely recommend The Leap, very professional organisation. I am thinking of joining them on one of their mid life programmes. All the stress is taken away and everyone is very helpful. No question was a silly question in preparing my son to travel and I felt he was in safe hands”
