Bespoke Adventures

Create your own bespoke Midlife adventure

Across Asia, Africa, South America and Middle East

In addition to our scheduled adventures, we are making bespoke Midlife adventures 'a thing', responding to the demand from private groups who want to experience our unique combination of challenge, culture, and contribution but working within their own parameters of dates, interests and project contribution.

Your bespoke itinerary will be carefully crafted by us and our network of inspirational global partners on the ground.

Perfect for: families, reunions, clubs, friends, team building. Minimum of 6, all ages. All you need to do is get in touch to start brain storming - we take care of all the logistics.

The first decision to make is where? What type of vibe are you after? Here are our top countries which will deliver a winning itinerary...

Kenya

Best For: Indian Ocean + Tsavo National Park

Picture this: you're on Kenya’s stunning coast, diving deep into a pioneering coral conservation project endorsed by King Charles himself. You’re working alongside Oceans Alive, the heroes of marine protection, making a real impact on the vibrant underwater ecosystem. Then, led by the legendary Chris Angel, you head out into the African wilderness on a wildlife safari, coming face-to-face with Kenya’s iconic elephants, lions, and more.

But it's not all hard work – there's plenty of time to soak up the beauty around you. Picture meditative beach walks at sunrise, a gentle cycling challenge through stunning coastal scenery, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, and unwinding with sundowners as the sun dips below the horizon. It’s the perfect mix of action and relaxation that will leave you feeling inspired, rejuvenated, and deeply connected to the magic of Kenya.

Sri Lanka

Best For: Tea Plantations, Surf Beaches + Galle

Imagine starting your day with yoga overlooking lush tea plantations, then catching waves while surfing, and hiking through the stunning Central Highlands. You’ll stay at the beautiful Tekanda Tea Plantation, a hidden gem recently named one of Condé Nast Traveller's top places to stay, and soak up the history and charm of Galle Fort.

But it’s not just about adventure – it’s about making a difference too. You’ll roll up your sleeves at a women’s empowerment center, helping local women gain new skills in cookery, computing, dressmaking, and English to boost their opportunities in tourism. Along the way, you’ll experience the vibrant flavors, warm hospitality, and rich culture of Southern Sri Lanka, making memories that will uplift and inspire you long after you’re back home.

Peru

Best For: Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley

Just putting it out there - having just returned from the first Midlife trip to Peru - I can honestly say that this is an amazing, humbling, and exciting adventure. It is indeed a physical and mental challenge but so rewarding as you head off the tourist trail to trek through hidden valleys, stay with local families, feast on delicious food, and marvel at vistas that take your breath away. Best thing I have ever done.

We reccommend that you have about 10 days to play with so you can acclimatise fully in and around the stunning town of Calca, whilst living with and helping our NGO partners with their community projects and exploring ancient ruins. After at least 5 days of acclimatisation you will be ready to complete a 3-night, 4 day bespoke trek to Machu Picchu, carefully crafted by our NGO partners using their local knowledge, guides and community elder friends. Through their contacts you will access magical mountain valleys, mystical glacial lakes, and generous Andean farming families tucked away from tourist's eyes. I promise this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience which will reboot and invigorate.

Costa Rica

Best For: Cloud forest, Volcanoes + Pacific Surf

This trip is an incredible blend of adrenaline-pumping adventure and meaningful conservation work. Picture yourself hiking through lush cloud forests, finding hidden waterfalls, and soaking in natural hot springs at the foot of majestic volcanoes. Feel your heart race as you zip line through the canopy, and then find your purpose on the pristine Pacific beaches, where you’ll roll up your sleeves to help protect nesting sea turtles – making a real impact on their fragile ecosystem.

The best adventures in Costa Rica involve exploring the stunning landscapes – from the serene beaches and laid-back vibes of Santa Teresa to the rich biodiversity of its rainforests. You’ll explore off-the-beaten-track trails, bask in the warmth of local hospitality, and fully embrace the spirit of "Pura Vida." Whether you’re trekking through dense jungles, spotting wildlife, or kicking back by the ocean, every moment is filled with both thrill and tranquility, leaving you inspired and recharged.

Colombia

Best For: Canyons, Tayrona National Park, Caribbean Islands and Cartagena

Now this is a goodie and we recommend including at least 3 different locations to get three contrasting experiences. Therefore we recommend that you have at least 12 days available so you can include everything.

Start off in Barichara, nestled in the heart of the canyons, start the day with yoga, where you'll explore the surrounding area with hikes, and contribute to local community projects and initiatives. You'll then fly up to the historical coastal town of Santa Marta, the gateway to the Tayrona National Park. After seeing the old city, you'll head into the National Park for two days of exploring by foot and motorised canoe, meeting indigenous communities along the way and seeing gorgeous jungle vistas.

End your adventure with a visit to one of Colombia's tropical islands for a phase rejuvenation, as you spend your time chilling, snorkelling, and resting. Spend the final few days in the bustling city of Cartagena before flying home.
