Under 18s Leaps

Adventure, friendship and real-world experiences.

An Amazing Adventure That Just Happens To Be Good For Your Future

Students want adventure, friendship and unforgettable experiences. Parents want confidence, independence and reassurance that their investment will genuinely benefit their child's future.

The Leap delivers both.

Our Under-18 adventures combine exciting challenges, meaningful projects, cultural immersion and plenty of fun. Whether you're restoring coral reefs in Kenya, heading out on safari, working alongside local communities or simply making new friends from around the world, every day brings a new experience.

Along the way, students develop confidence, resilience, leadership and communication skills - the kind of real-world experiences that universities, employers and apprenticeship providers increasingly value.

It's an adventure they'll never forget and one that can help shape who they become.

This isn't just another adventure. It's an investment in the person your child is becoming.

Why It Matters

Adventures They'll Remember For Life

Some of life's most important lessons happen beyond the classroom.

Travelling as part of a team, exploring a new culture, taking on challenges and stepping beyond familiar surroundings helps young people discover what they're capable of achieving.

From snorkelling over coral reefs and spotting elephants on safari to working alongside local communities and making lifelong friendships, these are the experiences that stay with young people long after the trip is over.

They return home with incredible memories, new perspectives and a confidence that can only be gained through real-world experience.
Because the best adventures don't just change where you go. They change who you become.

Supporting The Super-Curriculum

Experiences That Set Young People Apart

A Leap provides far more than a memorable trip abroad. It gives students meaningful experiences that demonstrate initiative, responsibility, leadership, teamwork and personal development.

These are the kinds of experiences that enrich personal statements, strengthen university, apprenticeship and job applications, and provide compelling examples for interviews.

In an increasingly competitive world, young people need more than strong grades alone. They need evidence of who they are, what they've achieved and what they can contribute.

Students also have the option to complete our Diploma in International Volunteering, accredited by the Centre for Global Citizenship Studies and worth 16 UCAS points. The qualification helps students reflect on their experience, articulate the skills they have developed and demonstrate their learning through a recognised academic framework. It is also perfect for Gold D or E residentail and volunteering.

Together, the adventure, the experiences and the qualification provide powerful evidence of confidence, initiative and real-world learning. That's exactly what a Leap helps provide.

The Difference A Leap Can Make

The friendships and adventures last a lifetime, but so do the lessons.

We've seen shy students return home with confidence. We've watched young people discover leadership qualities they never knew they possessed. We've seen teenagers become more independent, more resilient and more excited about the opportunities ahead.

Parents often tell us that their child comes home more mature, motivated and self-assured than when they left.

A Leap isn't just about where young people go. It's about who they become along the way.

"Our daughter came back full of purpose and drive, ready to tackle her future with a new mindset. The Leap was the best investment we've ever made in her personal growth."

From marine conservation in Kenya to clean water projects in Cambodia, our Under-18 adventures combine challenge, culture and contribution in some of the world's most inspiring destinations.

Under 18 Kenya

Marine Conservation. Community Impact. Safari. Adventure.

Coastal Kenya is a place where marine conservation, community impact and adventure come together. Working alongside our long-term partner, Oceans Alive, students experience a side of Kenya few travellers ever see while contributing to projects that make a genuine difference.

One day you might be restoring coral reefs with marine conservationists, the next helping build clean cookstoves, supporting local community projects, sailing a traditional dhow or spotting elephants on safari in Tsavo National Park.

Along the way, you'll make lifelong friendships, immerse yourself in Swahili culture and discover what you're capable of achieving when you step beyond your comfort zone.

Under 18 Cambodia

Clean Water. Community Impact. Culture. Adventure.

From the awe-inspiring temples of Angkor Wat to remote rural communities and tropical islands, Cambodia offers an unforgettable blend of adventure, culture and contribution.

Working alongside local partners, students help support clean water projects that transform lives in rural communities. Along the way they'll explore ancient temples, meet local families, discover Khmer culture, learn about Cambodia's remarkable resilience and experience some of Southeast Asia's most inspiring landscapes.

It's the kind of adventure that broadens horizons, builds confidence and shows young people the positive impact they can have in the world.

To end our trip, we went on a safari in Tsavo East National Park, where we saw breathtaking wildlife that we’d only ever seen in pictures or on TV. From elephants, buffalo and hyenas to zebras and giraffes, the experience was magical and unforgettable.

Overall, this trip was far more than just an adventure. It challenged us in ways we hadn’t anticipated, opening our eyes to different ways of living and requiring us to be resilient, organised, and adaptable. It’s given us a new perspective on the world, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to make a difference, even in small ways.

Our personalised itinerary had everything we asked for and more; we wanted our pupils to really immerse themselves in the local community and complete acts of service which would be genuinely meaningful and the Leap, who partnered with Ocean’s Alive more than delivered. I cannot recommend the Leap and the Kenya experience more highly.  They have given us memories to cherish for a lifetime.
